I have been under a good helping of stress lately, at only 18, I thought I was going to be a parent. This caused a lot of stress between my girlfriend and I. It recently passed when we found out she isn't, and we're doing a lot better. The problem is I now, very often, grit my teeth. I used to do it in my sleep but now I do it almost constantly when I'm not thinking about it. I did research and read that it was called bruxism, and that it had been effective treatment with hypnosis. Anyone?

Yes, yes, Hypnosis can and does help this area however please take advice. There can be many reasons here… Best advice is to leave it up to a professional, actually couple-recommendations 1. primary doctor ( you don’t know what may be trigger here-stress or biological condition-may be coincidental to stress?) 2. dentist – there may be dislocation of your jaw or stemming from a neck injury 3. Hypnotherapist. Yes, definitely can help solo or combination of other therapies. You are very young and very intelligent to look for direction to help yourself.
