I have a client who wants to forget (erase her memory) of bad experiences she has had.
The specifics are that she wants to forget things her husband has done relating to sexual experiences (pornography etc).
Has anyone had this type of experience and perhaps has a script for it.
The issue is that he promised not to have this material and then she found it, so it's a trust issue. She is trying to keep the relationship going, however, this is a real negative.

It is hard to really know what the real issue is. Should she be looking to "erase her memory" or to cope with her own issues of dealing with things? I mean if she erases the memory and it happens again then what? Not knowing the client of course I cannot really say what is best but I think you may want to spend more time with her discussing what she thinks the real issues are and look for another approach.
Please let us know more about the case and your results as you go.

| Memories are what guide us in our aproach to a problem. Erasing them is therefor at the very least improper. Removing the results of such memories is practical, but if you need to ask how, I suspect you are not capable of carrying out such therapy as would give the required results, and could in fact compound the problem. Without knowing the client, or being able to ask questions, it is not possible to give the information over the internet....Anthony. |
