I lost my girlfriend to another guy almost a year ago. I can't get to grips with it and when I see her with him I whish I was dead.
How can I forget the pain and the hate and the love I have for her?
Hypnosis, will it help me?
Can I forget about her completely?
I'm 24.

Ah, the first anniversary. You're probably finding that everything reminds you of her too. Been there, done that, same age, same circumstances. Believe me, you won't think it now but it will get a lot easier to cope with after the anniversary.

This may seem unkind, but it isn't, intended that way. Fact, if you lost her to another guy, she was never yours to lose. Now ask youself a question, what if you had married her, and then lost her to that other guy, and suppose you had children by then, what about that situation? Sad eh? but it happens to many people daily....
We don't own others, and they are free to change their minds, and form different friendships any time they wish, without consultation.
So you are angry that someone was able to take from you, that which you thought to be yours, but it happens, and you live on and hopefully learn in the process....
I have been married for fourty six years to the same lady, we share children and grandchildren, but I still don't "own" her, and never will. You also don't own this young lady, and she was and is free to see whom she wishes, and you are of course free to suffer the pains of loss if you so choose, but if I were you, I think I would accept and get on with my life. Can hypnosis help you recover? Yes, I suppose it can, but you will recover with time no matter what. If you really want to spend your money on therapy, be my guest, but my advice would be to use time to heal..anthony |
