Can anyone here put me into a trance and induce a phenomenon associated with this like my eyelids being glued shut or hand stuck to the table? I want to see this type of phenomenon in action. I can only pay for it if it works though, I am a student I can only afford to do a no trance, no fee deal. I paid 600 in total for hypnosis in the past and it didn't work at all and I wasn't able to keep trying in my pursuit to experience hypnotic phenomena because it took me a while to recuperate money wise. I was asking for very big things back then though, now I want to just start with some very small, basic things.
If anyone here can produce the eyelids sealed shut phenomenon in me, I will pay 50 because the way I see it, that will be a huge step forward for me since I will then KNOW that hypnosis works on me. |

You ase not getting many responses because most therapist will agree that it is n9ot whether you eyelids are stuck together that creates the difference for you but what your therapist picks up from you needs and how they address that.
Just like any other business there are the efficient ones and the less efficient. You efforts would be better applied to people who you feel can hep you by doing yo9ur own research and talking to as many as you need to.
Your approach is like saying I'll give money to someone who can prove they know how to turn the oven on and expecting that will guarantee that you get a good meal.

A common myth is that hypnosis doesn't work on some people,which creates a fear that you might be one of those people. The truth is that hypnosis has already worked on you and that is why you are wanting proof. You first hypnotists in life were your Parents or major care givers. They shaped you to become this person that needs proof. Phenomena experienced in hypnosis is good feedback that tells you there is something to this thing called hypnosis. But, if you know what the phenomena is and are anxious for that to happen, then it won't, and you will think that hypnosis cannot work on you and miss out on some really great therapy. There probably is no correlation between the experience of phenomena and a successful outcome, apart from being convinced it worked and that can be quite power. But the real change comes from the therapy done in hypnosis, and that transcends the phenomenological experience. In fact, once you get past worrying about whether you were hypnotised or not you can begin the real therapy that leads to permanent change.

If you want that kind of response, go along to the next stage hypnosis show when there is one in your town. If there is one your local pub/bar, the costs will be minimal.
As the others posts suggest, hypnosis is a change in thought/feeling/behaviour. It is happening daily in your life. Only a small percentage of the population are very suggestible. |
