| ok heres what i was wondering.i am very good in organization,very articulate,read alot,fill my mind with common knowledge and not so common knowledge.i would do very well at "who wants to be a millionaire".however ive noticed that in moments where i try to concentrate on anything in my mind,like a color,or a scene,or even a person i see everyday like my wife or daughter,the image will not stay clear in my mind,i see a multitude or jumble of things,other than what i am concentrating on.many times things pop up in my concentration images that ive never seen or am not even thinking about.is that normal?can hypnosis help center my concentration? |

| Can you think in visual terms about other things... like your job or hobby? Or do you think with more of a 'sense of knowing'? |

| its hard to say exactly.im the type of person that can remember numbers frontwards and backwards or i take a word and spell frontwards and backwards.i watch a movie and remember it,but when asked to focus say on one of the characters that i just watched,i cant focus on them,they are distorted and many other things pop up while i am trying to concentrate on that one image.ok and like my job,i use ovens.everyone else has to use the timer for their food to come out right,i never use the timer,because i can set a feeling of knowing its ready,and i dont look at the clock.i can tell you every detail say about my daughter from top to bottom,but if i close my eyes right now and try to visualize her(and she could be standing right in front of me)i cannot see a clear image |

From what I understand you describing, I'm not sure if I'd worry about it unless it's really holding you back in some way.
You recognize people you know, it's not like you forget people, right? That would be a different thing.
Some people just don't think visually.. I'd imagine the "Lack of concentration" would be your mind working hard to come up with a visualization... if it's desperately trying to do something that it's just not able to do, it would feel scattered... like it's miss-firing.
Your mind appears to have other skills. Make use of them. |
