In my work as a therapist who uses various types of hypnosis, I'm often consulted by other doctors in my field who ask me for advice on where to start learning basic, effective hypno-techniques.
Sometimes it's opened the door to deeper conversations about the psyche, but I always recommend a book that has helped me harness several amazing hypnosis methods.
It was written by Dylan Morgan, a legend, although many consider him controversial. He discusses a wide range of topics, like The Visual Imagination, and how it relates to the strangeness of dreams, etc...
He is very insightful about the manipulation of memories WITHOUT induction, and many of the more prevalent techniques.
It's a great tool for novices and beginners who want to begin learning hypnosis, but I've found myself referring to it years after integrating hypnosis into my practice.
It would be great to get a discussion started about this in the forum.

I have read only one book by Dylan Morgan and that is Hypnotherapy for Beginners v2, also sometimes referred to as Hypnosis for Beginners. The reason I like his style is because he gives scientific views on the hypnotic processes. Being a man of science, but still openminded enough to indulge myself in the art of Hypnosis, I very much like this approach.
Perhaps you care to enlighten me about some other books by Morgan, as I don't have any knowledge of those. |
