I had a question about past life regression.
I've heard that its possible for residual talents from a previous life to make its way into this one as well. I seem to have a talent for words and have a strong verbal intelligence. Is it possible that I acquired this talent in a previous life?
Also, I have read that personal beliefs in this life are reflected by our previous lives to a certain degree. I have a strong dislike for people who are rich and greedy, living unaware of the billions in poverty. I've heard that in a previous life that means that I was probably a rich, greedy person, or someone who benefitted from rich greedy people, and as a karmic result, hate these people.
Which one of these scenarios is the truth? In other words, are our beliefs and actions similar to those in previous lives, or are the direct opposite?
For the record, I am a beginning hypnotist and as of yet have not tried any regressing.

It is not just possible but probable. Past lives, and indeed your future lives, are all connected. Nevertheless, it is possible your facility with words is your very own ability that you have cultivated. Surly you love language, and this love has spurred your bettering of it. There is more than past lives that can instigate growth of one ability or another. Even with this being the case, you can find comfort in the knowledge that to an unknown degree your skills are influenced by alternate selves in different realities, e.g., past lives.

They are both. For instance, you have been a woman in a past life, and most likely you have been one numerous times. Do you hold the same views as she (you) as you do now. Some ideas might be harmonious with your own while others might be discordant. But what it seems is that you do not appreciate the power of the now and that free will is always yours. More importantly, however, is that you should know that you are you and not a past life. Your identity is inviolate and can not be amalgamated with those identities of past lives or infringed upon by these same identities. You are you and you shall be you forever. For example, if you did acquire your facility for words from a past life, it was not without your wanting the ability in the first place, and your love for language put you in contact with the information that a past life held. You could look at it as "older brother" giving you a few good tips.

| I have always believed that we are simply biological beings and we have always been in the here and now .There is no such things as past lives . To me all of this past lives stuff was made by people and then convinced others that it existed.It makes good discussion materials . Somewhat like Religion ! I would like someone yo make a good arguement for past lives and how things can be past on into present and future lives -somewhat like the example discussed above ( ratabulous) Thanks |

| I would have to say that events from a past life may affect you in your current life. This can be especially true of the death scene, usually when there was a tragic ending, for example being killed in a war of being hung. In terms of bringing forward talents and abilities from previous lifetimes, I am aware of 2 people who have done some work in this area. Barrie Konicov has a recording that may assist you in bringing forward talents and abilities and David Quigley also works in this area, in fact he was able to bring forward the ability to play the piano! |

| Work done by Dr. Brian Weiss is very interesting. I have recalled several Latin phrases from Catholic Masses when I have been regressed. I do not know Latin, this causes me to believe it is possible. If this regressed memory is real it makes sense that the service was in Latin though I didn't understand what was being said right? Not many people spoke Latin 750 years ago, but still attend service that until recent history was done solely in Latin. I asked a friend what "viticus est is addo nex" and he looked at me awkwardly asked me what I was talking about. I told him its vaguely part of what I heard in a sermon long long ago. He said it's pitiful grammar and pronunciation, but it means "He who kills is vicious." It was weird. It's just my experience and open for interpretation. |
