Hi, if my client haaas a severe nightmare negative emotional state , is it useful to aproach te issue as if I were dealing with the problem as I would if it occured while awake. Or should is this something of a different situation. I will be using mostly NLP techniques, thinking of simply reanchoring the neg state into a positive resource state as I normally would. Hmmm? Thanks... William |

I recommend the book "Become the Dream",by Randal Churchill. It incorporates Fritz Perls Gestalt Dreamwork into the hypnotic process. The results are often astonishing! I learned from Fritz at Esalen Institute and taught Randal 27 yrs, ago. Available from westwoodpublishingco.com With Respect, |

Hi Will I have made this as simple a I could. Hope you find ity helpful
Dreamscapes going beyond Adventures in inner space NLP in Action
By Jay Budzynski
Dreams a complex neurological, set of processes, that have the goal of organizing, our accumulated daily, conscious and other than conscious, perceptions, form work, family friends, bill boards, radio, out of conscious communications, from, others, in the world, billions and billions bits of information, go in to creating our dreams, yet we very really remember the 3-9 dreams that we have daily, this is our Brains way of allowing us, to process the overwhelm, that our senses, have taken on throughout the day.
Yet for some, dream time, is not! A place of magic and wonder, for some its, a dark cold place, where our shadows lurk, and we a drawn into a complex, neurological other then conscious, Stephen King type of dreamscape, so with the aid of a little NLP, a lot of hypnotic language, and a bit of skill, we can change and restructure the neural pathways, at a deeper level, to best effect.
First question, we should ask, is if you did not have, the issue what would you have or like to have instead? “Pretend if all else failsâ€
If say in 30 years, from now you never had this occurrence again, “ between then and now†just how good would that feel? Being able to have a better more peaceful sleep pattern?
Think about 3 wonderful times you have had in life. “Use these to create anchors†for laterâ€
Spend a little time, creating the positive resource anchors, in a wide-awake state. And make sure you have them wired in really well.
Before we learned how to do something’s, we had a different way of looking at the world, now I remember, when I was very, very young, how the world seemed a much bigger place, a more magical and simpler place, I remember how animals seemed so much bigger, and how I had so many wonderful hiding places, and I think we all had some special place, where we could be alone, and have some special time just for our self. And relaxing into our own younger self, and even if we didn’t have our own magical place back there, we could have had one, and we know where that would and could be. In just the right time and place, back there before we knew, how to know what we didn’t know, before we new that we didn’t, in just the right ways that work for us, here and there at the same time.
Now you can see all that over there on a movie screen, map anchor 1, to that screen.
Now create a little blank screen, and map anchor 2, to that, and place, it some time before, any negative, event ever happened. And have the positive anchor, power on every time, we look at that screen, no matter what we add to it, the more we add to it the stronger the positive, becomes.
Now start to add, to the blank screen, just a little something, that might be classed as a nuisance, yet something so small, that you would just, let it go, maybe some one dropping litter, and do this with a host of little things, place them into the screen, and the positive power, from the anchor, just zaps, them away, play with this, adding lots of little annoying things, and zap and power up.
Now have the person your working with think about where they live, and associate anchor 3 to all the doors inside and out, of each room etc. a bit like the circle of excellence, only in front and behind ever door.
Now have any aspect from the nightmare play for a few seconds on screen 2 then let it power up and zap it a way, repeat this, really quickly, lots of times.
Now have the person walk freely around there home, in there imagination, walking in and out of very room, stepping into the resource anchors, that you set up.
Now add the same resource anchor 3 to, sitting on chairs, the sofa, the telephone, and the bed.
Anything thing, that feels a little off, send to screen 2, and zap it out.
Remember to do several ecology checks, future pace, and then integrate, all 3 anchors. In to one, in the right here and now.
