I have been conditioned by a hypnotist to enter hypnosis state by saying a sentence seven times. Why this method of self hypnotism hasn`t been mentioned in hypnotism information in any sites? Does it mean it is not effective? I would like to know the opinion of experts about this method. Thank you.  |

Hi
This is the most basic, form of induction, as for your sentence, seven times, is six times to many.
Yet thats nothing to do with you, thats down to the person your working with.
And I think you might fine that you have conditioned your self, as its your mind-body, and it up to you to keep it that way.

Hi,
Thank you Matrixman. it is 18 days that I am saying this sentence in my hynosis state sessions ( thirty minutes a day) " My concentration is extremly strong ". Should I use a variation sentence every two weeks for example for a goal? Should I keep having sessions for two months for a goal if no result got visible? Oh my god no.
When I was hypnotised by the hypnotist trying to condition me to self hypnotism he said I showed telepathic ablility while under. Playfully saying, is it possible to make that alive even when I am not under deep hypnosis? |

| Matrixman is quite correct in his comments, I would suggest however that it might be possible that your practitioner saw something when working with you, that decided him on giving the suggestion that seven times might be helpfull to you in learning. On the other hand, now that you have mastered it, you will likely find you only need to say it once, and eventually will not need the sentence at all, just the intent to enter the state. As for the other state you mention, all things are possible, try it....As for why it hasn't been mentioned, why should it? There are thousands of methods used, why mention any at all since trainers are the only ones who need to study them if the interested do due diligence, and learn from a skilled person as they should.... |

Hello,
I have a question my husband had hypnosis done before for weight loss and it worked. I have been looking into self hypnosis what could i do to get started in self hypnosis? I have brrn looking around and I found some self hypnosis cds on ebay what do you think about those? Is there a certain kind I should buy?

| Interesting post (G) Are we to assume that your husband was worth the cost of a practitioner, but you are not? As for recommending CDs it would be foolish, since if they didn't give the results you hoped for, you will feel we were at fault, and fact is they are not nearly as good as seeing a practitioner for a one time session of training. |

I would say keep away from ebay, for hypnosis tapes/cds, as you can not judge how good or bad, they maybe, if you are still wanting to go by the cd, rute, then Stephen Brooks is a name you should look in too.
