Where could I find some free mp3s to just relax to while I am working on my self hypnosis.
I dont need anything with a person talking correct? I believe I just need some nice soothing ocean or something like that. Daniel Olson has some stuff that really relaxes me and takes me into a trance.
(I am new as you can tell) I do not use any kind of script. I just relax myself and close my eyes. Count down from 100 after I begin to get nice and relaxed/comfy. When I feel super relaxed I will say to myself "I can trust her, she will never hurt me", "She is not interested in other guys".. and I will keep repeating this while breathing deep and slowly. (saying it on my out breaths).
By the way, I have an insecurity problem and a bit of a subconsious trust problem with my girlfriend. I know I can trust her, I just have a problem believing it.
If anyone has something that may help me out a little more with my journey that would be great.

| I am puzzled by your post. First you tell us that you need some direction with regard to relaxing tapes, but then you continue with a statement that you have found a tape or tapes that work for you. It makes no sense.....Incidentally, that which is free is rarely of value, so it the tapes you have found are free, good for you. Anthony |

sorry i was unclear about that.
I found some short hypnosis tape for relaxation and it works amazing. David Olson works sick with me. His voice works.
Anyways, I am looking for some sort of soothing music (no lyrics) to use for my self-hypnosis.
I hope that cleared it up.

| Might I suggest, that that which is soothing to some, is an athema to others who find it grating.....For myself, the light classics fit the bill, and do the job, but that might not help you..Anthony. |

A suggestion regarding the form of the suggestions you are making to yourself. A rule of thumb is that all suggestions need to be in the positive. You say "...she will never hurt me", "She is not interested in other guys.." One of the rules of the mind is that the inner mind drops out of suggestions the word "not" and all its variations. So, your inner mind hears you say, "she will hurt me", "She is interested in other guys.." I believe that is the opposite of your intended suggestion. It is difficult because we are so used to using double negatives instead of positives, but you must use the postive form for your suggestions to get the desired effect. In this case, " ...she is kind to me, she only has my best interests at heart. She is very interested in me...."
There is possibly another problem with those specific suggestions. If you are giving those to yourself because she is a warm loving woman who is very attentive to you but you have problems accepting that and are paronoid, then they are O.K. If, on the other hand, you have reason to believe, or experience, that she is hurtful and a player, then suggestions such as these are in the catigory of wishful thinking and hopes and your inner mind will reject them as unrealistic. If it is the latter case, more appropriate suggestions might be something like, "I am finding the strength to search for loving people who ....." |
