| Hello all, I have a lot of time on my hands and would like to begin on the path on enlightenment of known hypnosis technique and unknown mystery. I have been searching the internet for a book or video or anything really that has merit. But all I can find are those miracle books and videos and such that expect me to believe that hypnosis is like all those old movies with the guy with the evil stare and pocket watch (the method was used a long time ago to relax people, but better methods was found and this method doesnt work on a the majority of people.) I came across this website and it seemed to me that at least some of you guys are serious. If anyone here has any tips on good books that are easy to understand and worth checking out. I prefer books over videos, and websites over books. |

You ask for our help, but don't specify what it is you really want?
Are you intent on a study of hypnosis for use in a practise?
Are you wishing to use it for you own improvement, and if so, in what areas?
Is there a good reason why you wouldn't use your local library?
I ask these questions although my own library is long since gone. I gave most of my books away when I retired from practise, and have a hard time remembering titles now. I might however suggest as starters, regardless of intent to use, that you get hold of self help books which give an outline of how the mind works, books such as "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill, Or "See You at the Top" by Zig Ziggler. In both cases they present an interesting read, and show a path that can be taken, and made easier through the practise of hypnosis as a tool....... |
