I originally started getting into hypnosis back in 1999. I did alot of research on the internet and check out a few books at the library. Well receantly ater going to a stage hypnotist comedy show, I have renewed interests, and I am again persuting education in the Hypnothearpy feild. I have receantly read the book: Hypnosis For Beginners by Dylan Morgan.
This is where my question lies. Back when I first started researching the various effects and application of Hypnosis, I ran across something that stated that you could actually induce hypnosis while a person sleeps. And I wanted to know if there is any truth to this? I am still studying and learning, and once I feel confident I will actually attempt an induction. I assumed that if I could perform and induction while in person is in the sleep state, that it will ensure, my success while they are awake.
Any help or suggestions, would be much appreciated.
I am now reading Hypnosis Advanced Techniques by Don Mottin. |

Smurf, the answer to your question is "no", you read incorrectly, or at least misunderstood what was intended. It is not easier to hypnotise a person while they are asleep, it is more difficult than a normal induction.
You say you have studied hypnosis since 1999, then confirm it by saying you have read a few books on the subject. Now I have done the same for surgery, so I am wondering if we can do a trade. I will teach you hypnosis, if you will become my first patient for surgery?

sombulism smurf,
you need to develop a back bone and face the people you wish to hynotise.
Sneeking up on sleeping people will get you arrested.
I have had some experience in converting sleep to hypno-sleep
and it is not as easy as you may think. As individuals we all have
our own sleeping patterns, some people are light sleepers, others heavy. Some people will sleep through a train wreck. You standing around whispering nothing in their sweet ears will get you nowhere.
I suggest you start with the conscious. |

I agree.
All Hypnosis is Self Hypnosis.
You will find it hard to deal with someone's self while they are asleep. |
