Hi All,
I was wondering if anyone here knows of any web sites that sell or offer free hypnotic induction music.
I seem to have trouble finding music. I don't wish to aquire the usual stop smoking and weighloss mp3's etc. Just induction music.
If you know of any sites please let me know!
Thanx a mil,
Lucid |

Hi Lucid
Why are you using music for hypnosis?
I will tell you why, I am asking when you have answerd. |
If it has consciousness it's already in a trance. |

Feel free to check out the Hypnosis music section in the HOL shop. This was specifically made for this exact purpose. The bottom line is if you use anyone's music you must have the permission to use it (with royalty or royalty free) or it could come back to haunt you one day. The composer of this music allows you to purchase the royalty rights along with the CD-ROM. Problem solved.

If you were to make a hypnosis tape and put your time and effort into it you would expect people to buy it. You would expect a reasonable fee for your work. If someone were to take your tapes, make copies and give them away or sell them elsewhere I am sure you would not like that. This is the same for the person who makes the music.
From my experience there is no such thing as any royalty free music available for this purpose anywhere on the Internet.
Hope this helps. |

Well i'd like to use music in the inductions that I do to first of all help the client enter hypnosis and more importantly to block out outside noises that would disturb her or him. That is actually the main reason. Also I'd like to get my hands on the type of music stage hypnotist use when they do rapid intuctions on their volunteers. Would this be a different type of music or the same used in hypnotherapy? i could imagine that it would be different since stage hypnotists usually do rapid inductions that don't nessecarily involve much relaxation on the vounteers part!
Any suggestions...?

Hi Lucid As for music I my self don't use it, I don't feel the need too.
Having worked with well over 1000 people. in my time, I never needed to use music, ever. yet I also don't do stage hynosis, it's just not my game.
Yet I do think you might want to look into Richard Bandler's Neurosonic's CD.s
Confusion and speed inductions are a good way to work with the genral public, and any type of music that makes an inpact works, something like Rime of the ancient mariner by Iron maiden, it unexpected so it confuses the people your working with. and if you play around with differnt trak samples and edit them together, in your own ways. that's some thing you could consider.
There's know right or wrong music to use, cos you could do any hypnotic work with out, the idea behind music is that it helps bring both right/left hemiphers into sync this way you can get a deeper induction, yet it's just konwing what to do when.
And You can if your good enough to zone people out just by leading them, with your body language.
Yet I'm still learning so what do i know.
Your already a genius, so let it be. |
If it has consciousness it's already in a trance. |

Hi everyone and hi Lucid,
I think music can be very good to create an atmosphere of relaxation which can only be benificial if not then it can be easily turned off. If i went to a hypnotist that played music and took the extra effort to create a more relaxing enviroment i would use them more than one that did not use music.
I like to meditate with certain music and ambient sounds that i have taken a lot of care to create to make it perfect for myself.
Im new to hypnosis but im going to offer my services as this interests me very much.
Im a Composer and write music and have a small home studio.
If you were to give me a detailed description of the kind of musical enviroment you wish to create perhaps i could produce it for you. If you enjoyed it we could descuss a small fee and licence conditions.
It may not be typical medolic music but certain sounds, effects and drones that you want.
Thanks. |

Music can be pleasant and relaxing. It is NOT however hypnosis, nor has it anything to do with the trance state we call hypnosis. It is possible to use it for a trigger, post hypnotic suggestion, or many other uses, but NOT as a trance producer or to assist in producing the trance...Anthony.... |

There are far to many tastes in music to find one type that will be soothing and relaxing to everyone. To some clients your choice in music may actually interfere with your ability to reach them. Once you begin your induction you can give the suggestion that outside sounds will not disturb your session if you happen to work in a noisy environment.
Personally the only time I use music is for background for when I record audio programs. I find that it adds a nice soothing element to help get the listener's attention since I do not have them physically in front of me. |

Hi, just stumbled across this post and was interested. I think music can be OK if you strike a chord with the listener with what appeals to them but it is impossible for this to work on everyone. Monotonous frequencies centred around the brainwave resonance states of Alpha, Theta and Delta are much better for self hypnosis. Mimicking brainwave activity frequency through musical frequency can have some remarkable results because it entices the mind to follow suit. White Noise centred around the same frequencies is very effective as are Binaural Beats for balancing the left and right brains into harmony. |
