Anyone know anything about hypnosis?
When I was 16 I went in for a therapy session, and the woman decided to try some hypnosis on me.
She did the whole thing, then did the whole "I'm going to count down from 10 and when I get 1 you'll be fully awake."
But.. When she got to the number 3 I got a huge rush of euphoria all over my body. A really wide, creepy smile spread across my face, which I was aware of, but could not control. I literally heard her choke on herself. Then she stopped the session, just like that. Told me to wake up. Didn't even get to 1. She seemed very weirded out by the situation, and never mentioned it to my mother or myself. It's been almost 10 years and I still somehow feel unfulfilled somehow by the whole situation. I still wonder what it was about the number 3 that made it so amazing, and why I had a big creepy smile on my face.
Anyone with experience that can shed any light on this would be awesome.

| There are phenomena that can occur when people are in hypnosis. It is not unusual for people to feel nice or euphoric simply because they are in hypnosis. Sometimes bringing people out of hypnosis in fact takes them even deeper. You probably just felt a phenomenon from being deeply relaxed. |
