What is difference between dreaming sleep and hypnosis?
any example, or definition or...

A person is awake during hypnosis. If, during a hypnosis session, a person gets too close to sleep, they are less able to respond during advanced hypnosis techniques and are less likely to accept and respond to suggestions.
It is like, the closer a person is to sleep, the less responsive they are to outside stimuli (like the hypnotist). They are much more focused inward.
Hypnosis has more prevalent Alpha and Theta brain waves. Deep sleep has more prevalent Delta waves.
I'm sure someone else can provide a better explanation. Just my quick 2 cents. |

First of hello from a newbie. I was looking for the introduction thread but I did not find one so Hello everyone.
Anyway I want to add my advice to this post. I have to agree with Patrick, when a person is dreaming they are deep asleep but with hypnosis a person is awake and what Patrick says is 100% correct, you never want a person to get to close to sleep because they will not respond well at all, this has happened to me a few times.
