FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
With assistance from Justin James, CEO of The Hypnosis Company, and a committed group of volunteers including Tom Silvers, Richard Nongard, Katherine Zimmerman, John Cerbone, Lee Darrow, and Michael Gershman there is now an insurance option for professionals in the Stage Hypnosis industry. These volunteers have over 160 years of experience in Stage Hypnosis, Demonstrational Hypnosis, or Hypnosis Education and will be referred to as the Safety Advisory Board throughout this email. HRH has a program that has been insuring thousands of other types of mobile entertainers including magicians and disc jockeys since 2005 through Great Midwest Insurance.
The Stage Hypnotist insurance policy now available has $1,000,000 occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate individual general liability limits and up to $15,000 of Inland Marine values, also known as your equipment coverage. The total premium is $300 for an annual policy based on Great Midwests current rate filings with the insurance department. Higher equipment values can be insured at $10 premium per $1,000 of equipment value. Your equipment list must be on file in our office prior to a claim or there is no coverage. You should email your equipment list spreadsheet to einsurance@HRH.com when you purchase coverage. You will have your own individual annual effective and expiration dates. Your insurance will end each year on the first day of the same month you purchase coverage. IE, May 1st if purchased any day this month or June 1st if purchased any day next month, etc. You may request coverage start any day in the future. I suggest June 1st effective date if you have no jobs scheduled during the remaining days of May.
The Safety Advisory Board, with our support, is developing show safety guidelines that we hope create professional industry standards. They are creating an online safety training tutorial to assist you with conducting safer performances. Within the next quarter you will have access to this on-line stage safety tutorial at most of the Safety Advisory Boards websites. HRH will provide those website links to you. There will be NO CHARGE to you and be required to complete. A current HRH client, The National Association of Mobile Entertainers, has offered their site as an independent link for all Stage Hypnotists to access the multiple choice questions that follow. The test questions are designed to verify your knowledge of general safety principles that were addressed in the tutorial. If the percent of correct responses is under seventy percent you will be directed back to the beginning of the tutorial. The National Association of Mobile Entertainers have also agreed to facilitate all the insurance processing for Stage Hypnotists for a $50 processing fee. The insurance carrier offering this insurance is Great Midwest Insurance Company and is an A tier rated insurer with A.M. Best. They have informed me that once the on-line tutorial is available they will require each Stage Hypnotist take the tutorial and following questions before purchasing the insurance to assist in minimizing potential claims against the program. Any Stage Hypnotist that has purchased the insurance prior to the tutorial being available will be requested to complete it within 30 days of its availability. Great Midwest will be filing new Stage Hypnotist liability rates to be effective August 1st for insurance purchased after August 1st. It will be $300 per Stage Hypnotist for the same liability limits and the inland marine coverage will become an optional purchase at $10 per $1,000 of value or $150 minimum premium. There is a $150 cost advantage of signing up for this program prior to August 1st. I have a commitment from the carrier that the rates will never increase past the $300 liability premium per Stage Hypnotist as long as the Stage Hypnotist group loss ratio stays below 30%. This is the same loss ratio benchmark in place for each of the other types of talent insured through this mobile entertainer program. If the loss ratio stays below 20% for the group of insured Stage Hypnotists I will request a rate reduction for the group.
The current program insures magicians, disc jockeys, bands, photographers, videographers just to name a few of the industries. If you have other lines of business beyond Stage Hypnotist operations to insure please call me directly. We look forward to assisting you with your insurance needs.
