Hi People!!! New to this site..I went to see a stage hypnotist last week and I really enjoyed the show, it was really funny and it also baffled me!
The hypnotist asked about 30 people from the audience to get up on the stage to be hypnotised. The Hypnotist asked them all to do a few simple exercises and he told about half of the volenteers to go back to their seats. the remaining volenteers where then asked to do a few more excercises and he told a few more to leave the stage. the hypnotist was left with approx 10 volenteers.
He then put them in a deep "trance" and got them to do the most funny things you have ever seen!!!! I was totally confused as to how the hypnotist had the power to make other people act out these outrages things. To be honest it looked like the volenteers where acting!!! (as though they were never really in a state of hypnosis)
Can anybody tell me how a hypnosis get these volenteers to act in such a behavour.
I understand that the hypnosis can only hypnotise certain people. so does the hypnotist look for people who are outgoing and dont really mind acting a fool?
Hope some of you can shed some light on this for me
