Posted - 02/05/2006 : 5:23:17 PM Here are a few facts that most stage hypnotists will deny or argue against. A primary factor in hypnotic trance is a subconscious desire to satisfy the suggested behavior. Unless, of course, the suggestion creates conflicts with fixed subconscious beliefs, viz: character attitudes, religious beliefs or moral principles. In addition, there are other factors in action: The subjects volunteer fully aware that they will be expected to do foolish things and since others on stage are following instructions, there is a compulsion to go along. These are general rules that apply to the majority of subjects and of course, there are exceptions to the rule. I was a full time stage hypnotist from 1960 through 1964. I left the stage to return to clinical hypnotherapy, although I continued to do shows (one nighters) for organizations and corporate events for the next thirty years. In addition, I have trained at least 25 of America"s most successful stage hypnotists. With Respect to All, Gil Boyne |

Posted - 06/06/2005 : 4:54:02 PM yep he could hypnotise me...but stand next to me invisible...mmm dont think so,unless i really accepted his suggestion...well....he did make himself appear invisible to the subjects in the show...so..whats the difference ...maybe he could plant post hypnotic suggestion..or could he.....im only into the therapy side...but positive and negative hallucinations are possible so how about this then....he could be right there while im having breakfast !!!
maybe he is standing here now .who knows ? i know of many different post hypnotic suggestions but have never given this one any thought !!! |
