Hey, im currently careing for a family member who is suffering from agraphobia and lack of sleep due to the panic and anxiety attcks from agraphobia..
I have been told that some hypnosis tapes can help with relaxing, calming and help to help a person sleep who is anxious and panicy at the time...
we have tried breathing expersises and they dont always work..
Im new to this site and new to hypnosis..but hypnosis tapes/cds/mp3s are an option she is willing to try...
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appriciated :)

Thanks! I never heard of agraphobia before. If the person is so afraid - maybe a good hypnotherapist could be found who could give effective phone sessions. |

There are two similar terms that are often confused:
agoraphobia, Fear of open spaces.
agraphobia, Fear of sexual abuse. |

Yes but, Certain people can not come to the house as it makes her anxious and very panicy..and more stress than she needs..

A good hypnotherapist might also be able to help with the behavior patterns that you call agoraphobia. |

www.NLPU.com Robert Dilts as a number of Articles that might point you into finding some useful ways of working with this.
www.Learningstrategies.com Paul Scheele as created a number of CDS that I have used, for many, many years, and would recommend.
