hi everyone, i am new to hypnosis so pardon me for any things u might find it silly which i will be asking abt later.
Actually, i am particularly interested in hypnosis. I will start my qns in the below:
DO we need any qualifications to be a certified hypnotherapist or to learn hypnosis cuz its like we nid to haf qualifications to study anithing over here in Singapore? (I guess that onli those in singapore will have a better idea abt this qn.)
Is the economy for hypnotherapists good?
Wat is the process one muz go to be an highly qualified hypnotherapist?
Is hypnotherapy linked with pyschology?
Tt's the end of my qns. Really sry to ask so many qns and impose on u guyz. |

| You are correct, the only persons who can answer your question regarding qualifications, are thos conversant with the law in Singapore, which is different from other countries. Your next question re the economy is also dependant on were you live and practise, so the only question I can answer for you is to do with what is needed to be a "highly qualified" practitioner, and the news there is not so good for those in a hurry. I have had thirty eight years of experience, and am still learning, so though you can practise much sooner, you certainly need years of practise and experience to be the highly qualified person you ask about. You being however with a training course, and proceed from there at your best pace. Yes Psycologists do practise, as do doctors and dentists among others. It is rare to have someone in practise with just hypnosis, since it helps in so many other professions... |

thx a lot for ur advice.
i relli wish to start learning hypnotherapy now but i got to finish my studies first. i think mabbe when i am arnd 23 den i can actually start on my interest thou. i hope its not too late. |

dingrui--- In 1994, I was to give a self-hypnosis course in
Singapore-After extensive advertising, the promoter of the seminar was notified by the Minister of Health that hypnosis classes were not permitted in Singapore. He immediately changed the newspaper ads to read Motivation and Relaxation Training Seminar
There was no further objection and we went ahead and had 57 people in the class. It was a wonderful class with a great ethnic mix of Chinese,Hindu, Malaysian, local Singaporeans and one Australian.
I had some of the best Indian food ever on Race Course Road in the
Indian neighborhood.
The law may have changed since then and I advise you to search out current laws in regard to hypnosis/hypnotherapy.

oh man.. was tt true?
thx a lot for tt piece of information, its definitely gotta help me if i wanna purse this career or interest. But can anyone tell me wat is proper way of learning hypnotherapy as in the courses i got to take to actually be a professional. i really wish to be a professional hypnotherapist.

Dingrui, All of the books on the website have a description, You must make your decision and start
with your first book. I recommend "Self-Hypnosis" by
Charles Tebbetts as a start. The road to learning this subject is long and you will read many books
in order to learn the principles, concepts and methods. Then you can begin some practical training. Start now and allow two years of reading and study before you begin to hypnotize anyone! |
