I am extremely shocked and grieved at Ormond McGill demise. It's a big loss of not only National Guild of Hypnotists, Inc. but also the hypnosis community all over the world. He had contributed to the development and exceptance of hypnosis through his outstanding performances and high profile media coverage . He also contributed to the hypnosis community by promoting cooperation between stage hypnotist and hypnotherapist. He had made a crucial contribution in founding and developing western knowedge of hypnotism
I have read all of Ormond McGill books and puchased his videos,even though I did not have the honour of meeting him,I respected his style of stage hypnotism,Ormond McGill was a true gentleman on the stage, he respected the people infront of him.
The memory of Ormond McGill will be kept in our hearts.

I had the honor to meet Mr. McGill in 1989 when he spoke at the hypnosis school I attended. He autographed a copy of his book Hypnotism and Mysticism of India to me.

Alex, I feel the same way, buddy.
I called Gil Boyne up right away as they were friends for decades. Ormond was truly, truly beloved. I carry his Encyclopedia with me wherever I go. The remaining 13 items from my Ormond McGill collection are on ebay for one lucky hypnotist, including a very rare original silk screen poster from his DR. ZOMB show.
Ormond was one of the last nice guy hypnotists. Many people hurt him and stole from him, yet he kept pumping out the books and living his dream. It will take a lifetime to come close to what he did for our art.
