I've recently purchaced two hypnosis tapes to improve self image and confidence.
Due to my schedule I can only listen to the tapes right before I go to sleep.
Because of that, my thoughts often wander during the listening and sometimes I even experience short dreams.
I have a few questions about the situation:
- Is it harmful in any way that im not focused douring the Trans state?
- Can I listen to the tape douring my sleep? will it be better/worst?
- What is the optimal state that I should be in during the listening?
- Can i listen to both tapes douring the night (one after another, or one in the morning and one at night)?

In most cases with audio programs it is best to concentrate on one area of concern at a time. Don't try to take on too much all at once. I suggest you listen to only one program, once a day for 20 days and then move on to the other.

Ideal listening conditions would be sitting up in a comfortable chair in a place where you will not be disturbed. Best bet is to use headsets. If your normal daily routine includes some television watching, I suggest you take 15 to 20 minutes (hopefully the audio program is not much longer than that) to listen to the program before you sit down to watch TV.

Once you have successfully listened to the program a few times sitting up you may want to try listening in bed. If you find yourself falling asleep during the listening process every time, you may want to return to the sitting up position. Different people have different sleeping habits and patterns so find what is comfortable for you. While there are those that believe that even if you fall asleep you still get the messages from the program this is far from being a proven fact. So give the audio program the best chance of working for you by not testing that theory personally.

Everyone is different and that is the reason why one-on-one Hypnosis sessions provide the best results as the Hypnotist can alter the program for your specific personality and change it, in real time, as you progress through the session. Well produced audio tapes tend to be more generic in content to allow them to work for a wider cross section of people. Putting yourself in the best listening situation and concentrating on one area of focus at a time, will give you the best return on your own time invested.

I will try out what you said and start it one program for a month.
I've been listening to the tapes for a week now and I start to feel some changes. and I'll happyly inform you of my overall experience,

Thank you, HypnoDoc, for your very helpful tips on this subject, and also for being at least somewhat open-minded on the subject of sleep-learning.

I believe sleep-learning is possible, and I can point to my own recent experience as support--not necessarily proof or evidence, perhaps, but at least *support*--for that theory.

What I've been doing lately is listening to Paul Scheele's *Abundance for Life* program as I fall asleep each night, so that it plays all night and I hear it when I awake in the morning.

Since I've been doing this, I've observed a noticeable change for the better in my life, both in my overall attitude and also in terms of financial abundance; and while I can't be 100% certain of a direct correlation, I do believe there is some connection there.

So in answer to your question about learning as you sleep, my own belief is that it could work.

Turn the tape on so that it plays continuosly --go to sleep and you will absorb content from the tapes.
