So i went and bought a book called instant self hypnosis. The premise is that you read these scripts out loud to yourself to hypnotize yourself.
I did the master induction script(the first one to get you started) and i can say that i was truly hypnotized. I was extremely focused, slurred words and i seriously felt slightly zombified. Heres where it gets interesting.
About 3/4 through the text i started sweating profusely, i was experiencing fight or flight symptoms and had a huge rush of adrenaline, but i continued to to read through the text, finished the induction and then immediatly proceeded to the "wake up". After i finished that last paragraph the adranline faded but i still felt a bit shaken up.
While i was hypnotized i felt like i lost control and that may have brought on the sudden panic. Im not sure why though, i thought it was supposed to be a relaxing experience? Now im hesitant to do any of the other scripts and i might just return the book.
Any thoughts? |

| "Any thoughts?" Well, since you did it to yourself, how the hell would we know? If you must play silly buggers, do so by all means, but don;t come crying when bad things happen. If you used a skilled person to assist you, it either wouldn't happen, or they would have controlled it properly. It's your mind, use it or abuse it as you will. |
