| Don't bother doing a search in Google for this phrase as it only leads to a spam site for a pharmaceutical drug sales site (spam). Other than that only a few dead-end links to pages without the phrase anywhere within the page. |

| First of all, you don't dispute something by saying it didn't happen, or confirm it by saying it is possible. You prove or disprove by doing it yourself based on information you get from the person who claims to have done it. Can it be done, yes it can. Can it be done to anyone at all? No, it can not, and I have no interest in wasting time on this one since it has no theraputic value. |

| First of all, to dispute the possibility is foolish, since it occurs in nature from time to time, and is therefor likely to be repeatable. Secondly, any practitioner of skill knows how often we affect the physical body by suggestion, another proof of possibility. Therefor is would seem to be repeatable, but as you have found for yourself, getting a victim would prove difficult unless you were willing for the sake of personal interest, to offer yourself for the task, in which case, I imagine a local might be tempted to repeat the experiment. After doing this successfully, you would have proved what? After failing in this experiment, you would have proved what? I see no value in trying personally, but you didn't ask that, you asked if anyone knew if it was possible, and you have had the answer. If books are your bag, and if you can get hold of some old ones on hypnosis, you will find that such experiments were carried out many years ago just to find the limits of this art we practise, such included the production of blisters, wounds, and marks of various sorts which couldn't be explained. I have never felt the desire to repeat them myself as I have already said.... |

We may assume that bleeding as the result of hypnotic suggestion is based on the same principle as its opposite, stopping bleeding through hypnotic suggestion.
A lot of research had been conducted on this and related phenomena in what they were called the countries behind the "iron curtain", mainly the Soviet Union and Bulgaria. This research was conducted by scientists in state laboratories and public hospitals.
The results of this research were positive and specific methods were developed which included hypnotic suggestions for bleeding control. That is, suggestions for when to start bleeding and when to stop bleeding at will from specific parts of the body. These bleeding control techniques were introduced and used as standard medical practice in Soviet Union hospitals in the late 70's. Detailed reports of these practices were published in the English language Soviet magazine "Sputnik".
