Hello, i have trouble with confidence... i think. i am transsexual and well... i am trying to come out to others, but i get choked up and nervous. when i get nervous i just cant speak... i just kinda nod and cant say anything important...
i have past experience with self hypnosis. i dont know if it would do much good but i was thinking to try.... but i have no idea how to do the suggestions at all. i cant afford a full hypnotist, due to saving money for transition....
can anyone provide me with help on how i should do this to help soften my nervousness?

hello confidence is one of those thing's, that seem to slow so many people down, and you must being finding hard, not being able to voice your self, in a way that works, well for you, now you might consider, taking a look at www.paulmckenna.com... and down load the free hypnsis change your life in seven days... it's an outstanding, hypnotic induction.. and even though it could never take the place for a 1-2-1 session.. it's a good start.. something that you might consider also is check out yahoo groups... as they could be a group of people that have the same issues as you that you could make contact with.. with out having to shere anything to pursonal...

Here is a quick method that will help. Put yourself into a relaxed state, visualize yourself watching a screen in front of you, a picture of you, then imagine separating from yourself so that you are watching yourself watching yourself watching the screen.
Now, begin to play a movie on the screen where you see yourself talking to people and you are feeling comfortable and confident and you are able to express yourself with all of your 'adult emotions'. Really build this movie up - see and hear all the details. Imagine, on the screen, you are talking calmly and maturely about your sexuality and imagine the reactions of others to be mature and non-judgemental and even if their reactions aren't what you would wish, imagine yourself responding confidently and maturely.
Now, when you've played that movie in your mind freeze it. With that movie frozen move back into yourself watching the screen. Imagine getting up from your spot and stepping into the screen so that you are there and you've accomplished your goal of coming out and discussing your sexuality. Then begin to play the movie backward with you in it feel the confidence, maturity, etc. All the way back to the beginning. Allow the experience to integrate within you physically, mentally, and emotionally like energy flowing through you.
Step out of the screen. Acknowledge the wonderful thing you are doing for yourself. Come back to here and now.
This is a great tool for getting over many situations that cause anxiety or stress or 'situational frozenness'

Generally when people experience anxiety or nervousness a person feels that something is unsafe. That there is something dangerous about the situation they are entering. What may work better for you is to determine EXACTLY what it is that feels so unsafe for you. From there you can work on the techniques below or email me for some that will alleviate the belief that what you are doing is unsafe and alleviate your feelings |
