Hi. could someone please tell me how to get someone to stand while they are in the "sleep mode" of hypnosis. i don't know which part of the hypnosis process to use to make them able to do this and i dont know the words to say. any help would be great, especially since my own "creative" attempts resulted in my best friend falling onto a metal washing basket and not feeling the pain until i woke him up (i should have tried some pain relief but, you know, heat of the moment....)

If you are causing physical injury to folks while "attempting" hypnosis, then I would strongly suggest that you do it sitting or lying down . . . AND . . . get some proper training. This is nothing that requires a lot of thought. Just suggest it. Right before the induction you can say, "and while you enter a deeply relaxed state, your legs will stay firm and strong underneath you, supporting your body easily while the rest of your body goes loose limp and relaxed" etc. Then, during the induction, say it again, and every once in awhile fire in reaffirmations to the same effect. I've NEVER had anyone fall during standing hypnosis unless that was the effect I was after and then only because it was part of the induction (the fall back, etc) and I safely and easily supported them gently to the couch or bed or floor. Hypnosis is NOT rocket science, it is easy to learn and to perform but you MUST do it properly and with the complete safety and interest of your subjects placed first.
