How can I determine the reliability of courses, tapes and CD's online?
I'm looking for something in regards to self esteem and premature ejaculations.

I would like to say look into http://www.learningstrategies.com very good. for self esteem.. and www.emofree.com get your self a freecopy of the eft manual.. and you will save your self a lot of time and money. and www.tonyrobbins.com you have a host of people from all over the world. just wanting to shere.

Self esteme, and premature ejeculation, are conditions that require in depth and knowledgable help. Don't waste your time or money on tapes, CDs, or online courses. See a good practitioner instead, and recognise that complicated problems require complicated help....
Do you really believe that your self esteme problem is identical to the same problem in another person? I promise you it isn't. Do you feel that all premature ejeculation problems stem from the same source? They don't, and therefor they will not in most cases react to a tape or CD which treat all listeners as being from the same cooky cutter......Self esteme may lead you to feel you are not worth the cost of a good practitioner, but don't let it make you feel that second best, even though good enough for you, will do what you hope. |

I do also agree what anthony says.. yet as you asked about what out there in the world, then I posted just what was asked for.. yet, some times, it hard to talk about issue face to face with people, thats why people create tapes, and courses, and some off them are very good.
I would also reconmend Dr Richard Bandler's personal development, stuff. it very funny, and He is a real genius. .

I have personally found working with a therapist one on one is often more helpful than tapes, CDs, or online courses. It is more personal to your own individual needs. I have used tapes, taken courses, used videos long before I became a therapist. I even had therapy sessions as a client to deal with my own personal issues. Nothing is better than one on one sessions with a therapist. The next best thing would be personalized tapes, videos, CDs. Group courses can also be of benefit.
Ask questions to a potiential therapist before you work with the therapist. Any good therapist will address your concerns about therapy, their products, or services. Any therapist would want you to feel comfortable with them. If fees are an issue, address your concerns about the price of their services, products, or courses.
Remember each person has unique needs and each person responses to different things. Your own issues are personal to you. Cookie cutter scripts or suggestions do not work for everyone. I would suggest you find a therapist that can customize your therapy or tapes, videos, CDs, or courses to your own individual needs and issues. Ask around, check out some of the websites, Guilds, or other professional organizations. See if you can find positive feedback about the potiental therapist or if not just contact them and talk with them yourself. Most people can feel immediately if they are comfortable or not around another person. Ask yourself does this person make me feel like they know what they are doing or do they make me feel uncomfortable?

Good therapy tapes and CD's prepared by capable professional therapists can often produce some results. However, almost always these results will be superficial, producing, at best, transient good feelings and/or increased performance.
Tapes and CD's have their place as a temporary measure for someone who wants quick results and their circumstances do not allow them to see a therapist. However, real and permanent change can be only achieved through the skilled services of an experienced therapist who will guide you and assist you to deal effectively and transform the deep, underlying roots of whatever your problem might be.
Tapes and CD's are not replacements for the services provided by a good therapist, they are at best band-aids which may or may not offer some temporary and superficial relief.
