| Hello to all, I was wondering if it goes for you or against you if you record all what goes on during a hypnotic sesson,will this help or hinder the client in the future,could this also deturmine if the client is being truthfull or toying with you? |

Peter, Ten posts in ten days, and still you leave unanswered the question of why you ask the questions you do.....Are you attempting to practise hypnosis? Are you asking because you are attempting to help yourself via self hypnosis?
I am beginning to suspect that you have read a book, and are attempting to practise on others, and if this is the case, I must respectfully submit that you are taking the wrong path, and are likely to find yourself in trouble with both a client and the law......
Hypnosis is a skill which must be learned properly, or it is likely to create problems for the client, and also for other practitioners who are doing it ethically. We need to know that we are not directing you improperly, and assisting you to become a very dangerous practitioner, with too little knowledge to help, and
enough to be a danger to others....
Please enlighten us as to what is the correct situation. Anthony.... |

Recording or videotaping your hypnosis sessions with the clients
written consent ... is one of the fastest ways to improve your skills
and note what works. Rarely will one remember all they did in a session.
Although, after a while, one might find it boring to watch those sessions
over again.
Pros record what they do in other areas to improve.
A little known fact, every top comedian, no matter how good they are.
No matter how many years they have been working, always carries a small
cassette or digital recorder in their pocket on stage when testing new
material. After they've tried out new material 2-3-4 times before a live
audience, and when they listen back to the recorded material ... if there
weren't any laughs on there, no matter how great they believe the material
is, they take it out. (Take it from me - 2 years on the pro comedy circut).
If you're recording material on a cassette for a client for Self Hypnosis .....
Keep it brief ... Short induction ..... Positive suggestions and then the
take out ... maybe 20 minutes. Gil Boyne of Westwood Publishing has one of
the best self hypnosis manuals on the market on formulating suggestions,
etc.
