I have watched many hypnotherapy videos, where there therapist says to sit up strait. I always have laid on my bed, could this be my problem with not being able to be hypnotized? When I watch the pocket watch method, How am i supposed to look at it? What I mean is, to look at it with my eyes wide open or how? I notice when I watch it my eyes go out of adjustment if you know what im saying and without my control my eyes adjust themselves. Is this a problem? I even tried staying awake for 24 hours strait just to try to be put to sleep by hypnosis. I know im a little crazy

Hi, If you can sleep in nights, it means you can easily be guided to deep hypnosis. Because you always fall in hypnosis just before you enter sleep.
I think you should find any other hypnotist if it's not working with your current hypnotist. I hope you know hypnosis and sleep both are different. So, there is no need to keep yourself awake for long time to enter hypnosis easily, or you may become so much relaxed during therapy that you will fall asleep.
You may also practice selfhypnosis regularly to make habit of entering in deep trance. Then ask your hypnotist to start hypnotizing you after you do selfhypnosis. But I think finding any other hypnotist will solve your problem.

Thank you for your reply, however I think there was a misunderstanding, I have never seen a hypnotherapist. Perhaps I should, perhaps only then will I get the guidance I need to be hypnotized, and learn self hypnosis. The only thing that sucks about this is I cant afford one, so Im really stuck with training myself. |

Ok..then try making a selfhypnosis mp3 in your own voice. It works.
And you can do selfhypnosis in any position which is sitting, lying, standing, or even walking. Physical posture is not important. With eyes open or closed. It doesn't matter.
You need to just follow the steps of selfhypnosis. Find some books on the subject and learn many methods then choose that one you are most comfortable with. There are many free books on the internet. Just google and many of them will be listed.
