| Do you feel that the name, "Confusion" techniques is valid, or should it be called, "Distraction' techniques? I ask because I am considering using music for my research into this practise, and I don't consider music to be a distraction, but rather an enjoyable addition to the process. Terry |

Hi Terry,
As I understand it, the confusion is to confuse the conscious mind in order to induce a trance.
On that basis, how do you intend using music, unless the client has to listen to two totally different styles at the same time.
For a "distraction" you would, I assume, need to play them something they disliked. |

| Not at all Eddy, the splitting of the mind requires no discomfort. The choice of music (classics, pop etc) would be at the discression of the client, but the actual score would be up to the practitioner, since they are in control during the session. I tend to use music scores only, since songs seem to be less successful, but to each his own, and I am sure some songs would be just fine. Terry |
