| I have not been able to hypnotise myself after a year of trying. I have been using audio cds. I belive in hypnosis and I try everyday without fail.Is there machines that can help me go into the trance state? Appreciate any help. |

There are 'blinky glasses', there are sound machines and cd's....
Your best bet is to just spend the money to see and 'qualified' professional hypnotist to teach you in one session. |

| have tried 3 different hypnotists to help me with going in to self hypnosis but has done no good. beggining to think i cant be hypnotised. i'll do some research on the blinky glasses. |

Hi Pat
Okay so what are you doing to "try" to going into self-hypnosis? and what I mean is what specific steps do you follow? a step by step account would be helpful.

matrixman,
the most recent procedure i use gets u to touch ur thumb and index finer together as the trigger and then visualise and count back from 5.
one time while listening to a music cd for s/hyp i got a flash of a montain in my mind and suddenly there was this immense focus and concentation in the back of my eyes. unfortunately this only lasted 2 secs. in about 1 year of trying s/hyp this has only ever happened once.
when i practise s/hyp i am always expecting this experience to repeat itself . it never does. |

That may or may not be related to hypnosis, hypnosis is a very individual and each session tends to be different each time, for the simple reason is you have had different experiences in life between sessions, and that' show it should be,now the pressing of the finger and thumb,also known as a stimulus response trigger or an anchor tends to be a very catalyst for getting into conditioned states very quickly, what I think is happening is your may well be experience self-hypnosis each and every time you go through your process,yet at the same time you are holding onto that one time experience and the goal of hypnosis, http://www.beyondtrances.com/?page_id=41&paged=4 give this a read and try out the process for yourself, with out the aid of CD's give it ago at least 9 times over 3-5 days. |
