They can be changed with hypnosis. I'm not sure what you mean by "consciousness".
Some fears can be changed with conscious mind, but can be difficult. |

Well some of them can be removed by anchoring. If you're afraid of spiders you can get yourself to believe that you're not afraid of spiders, and you do that with anchoring. It depends how "deep" that fear is in your mind or personality.
I also think that we get some of the fears from our ancestors and those are usually the hardest to get rid of. The reason for this is because in the past when our grand grand .... parents lived those fears would save their lives.
But yes, pretty much all fears are anchoring  |

Interesting idea! Where did you get it? I have a variation on it, maybe descendants even inherit all feelings from their ancestors.

In that case, infants would show reactions to more fears than the standard fear of falling and fear of loud noises.... yeah?
Even IF feelings/fears/behaviors were inherited, they would be too affected by the experiences of life to be an issue.
Much more likely is fears are handed down through generations via experience, stories and inference from life experiences while with family.
"Oh, your grandmother HATED spiders! Was so afraid of them! She would do ANYTHING possible to avoid them. She would scream and yell for help." A parent telling that to their 5 year old daughter, who loved grandma, and you have an instant 'inherited' fear. Just add water... and maybe a couple spider exposures so she can practice her new reaction.
