Dears,
I just wonder whether there is an simple way to motivate children (my own) doing things (ie. playing the recorder, brushing teeth).
What hypnotic pattern/sentence/sequence would help.

It's a simple question but not a simple answer.
Don Mottin has a good book specifically about this. I have read the book and find it practical and easy to use. Pretty much written with your situation in mind.
'Raising Your Children with Hypnosis'
I know it's on Amazon.com... like $20
Will give you a good background to apply a variation of techniques.

Harry,
You haven't read the book, so I'm not sure why you're commenting on the book or it's methods.
Children of a young age aren't apt to use much self-hypnosis.
I think you should review your comparison of the term 'programme' and 'use positive language patterns'. It would seem, in your context, you're talking about the same thing. |

There is a very good book 101 Healing Stories For Kids And Teens - Using Metaphors in therapy- By George W. Burns- if you was to drop the therapy part out of the title- the book has some really helpful idea on how to communicate with kids and teens- very worth while book for anyone that works or has children-

Hello Harry,
Well.... adults learn via repetition, strong emotion and authority figures. Kids are the same. If some worthless dad tells their son "you're stupid" five times a day for five years, they have unknowingly used the rules of hypnosis to modify that boys behavior.
A mom can say "Your room is a disaster, clean it up!" or they can say "Your room looks very nice when it's clean, please straighten it up.". Same intention, same results. Different mindset. Based in hypnosis. A person does not need to by lying down with their eyes closed to be in a state of hypnosis.
To me, 'positive language patterns' is just a phrase for waking hypnosis.
Intentionally or unintentionally using hypnosis, it is possible to raise kids in a manner that promotes their emotional and mental health and stability. |

Hello Harry,
I believe they are, more often that not.. maybe just at varying levels. I've heard people say people are in state of hypnosis up to 80% of their day. I tend to accept that as true. Most people do their job in a zoned-out state... listen to music, drive, watch TV, etc..
Children up to the age of 8 to 10 are essentially in full time hypnosis.

Yeah... our parents are products of their parents and so on.
I'm glad your mind followed the positive influences.
I want to clarify what I said about us being in a varying levels of hypnosis during a normal day -
They are natural states of hypnosis brought on by the environment we're in. |
