Hello,
I have a few web pages up that I would like to get feedback on. My intent is to explain the foundation for the use of hypnosis in an easy to understand way. Lots of pretty graphics to explain concepts. I would consider them to be in 'Beta' in that they are still being worked on.
I would appreciate negative or positive feedback from the people that visit this site, as you seem to know what you're talking about.

Hi Patrick,
I thought the site had a very nice look to it and was very impressed with your graphics. Did you do those yourself? I don't know if it was just my browser, but the navigation bar blocked the first few letters of text, which made it a little more difficult to read. (Just thought I'd let you know)
As you know from our discussion under Hypnosis Theory, I disagree that the critical faculty is bypassed during hypnosis. However, if you're going to use that terminology, you might want to take another look at the material in the 'Typical Mind' section on your site. You wrote that people in this state have increasing 'critical faculty bypass'. As examples you gave daydreaming, driving home from work, planning for possible outcomes and doing your work. I would think planning for possible outcomes and doing your work would be two areas where the critical faculty (our ability to reason, analyze and judge) is extremely active.
I enjoy reading your posts on this forum and wish you well in your new venture.

Thank you! I see what you mean with the navigation.. When I made my browser window smaller, the navigation box covers the text. I would not have noticed that.
Yes, I did do the graphics in a CAD program. Only way I could think of getting a pic (worth a thousand words and all).
I appreciate the time you took to read it and the problems you brought to my attention.
I enjoy your posts too and am glad we can both be content disagreeing :)

Hello Patrick. I'm a pretty visual person, and while I appreciate the CAD graphics, the overall look of the site is a bit bland for me - particularly since it looks like you picked great stock photography. From the few posts I've seen, you seem to have a lot of personality and I'd like to see that become a little more evident in your design.
One thing I'd definitely take care of is the inconsistent formatting on the program overview page. For example, the word "most" (CDs for sale on the internet are based...) and the number "5" (They often use antiquated...) are very tiny and look out of place. "Quit smoking" and "Stop smoking by hypnosis" are not formatted the same. Also... that page ends with a VERY long block of small grey text - no titles or pics or anything at all to break it up. You run a high risk of losing your audience to something like that.
I know I've commented more on the look than the content, but in the internet era, if the look doesn't grab them, the content never gets the chance. For what it's worth, I do like your style of hypnosis and I hope the endeavor works out well for you.

Thank you! Didn't intend for you to proof the sales cr*p, just the hypno theory stuff. Felt it would be slimy of me to ask for anyone to proof the sales pages. But, I appreciate that for sure! :) Had a site designer doing the work. Got rid of him and doing it myself. Thank you soooo much for all your comments!
