Hi. I need, and am hoping one of you has, or knows of information or scripts for childbirth hypnosis. Bonding journeys, preparation for birth imagery, recommended techniques, or even your personal experiences with this subject will be greatly appreciated. I have had little to no real help from my local library pickings. Most of the information I have accessed online, requires a hefty fee for certification to utilize their program(s), but am already certified clinical hypnotherapist. I do wish to help expectant mothers wanting this service to enjoy the healthy and memorable birth experience I was denied. (My doctor had a party to attend, couldn't wait, and consequently I was forced into a caeserian .... it happens too often to too many.) In any case, what a great opportunity for us to help each other out through this community. Thanx, whoever set this up!

case 1
A...the subject, a high school teacher & friend asked me to help her prepare for her first child with hypnosis. For several years prior to the request A had done trance work with me. One afternoon when I was on a social visit a few weeks before the delivery & A said to me, " when are we going to do something about getting ready for the delivery?" I said, " how about we do that now." We were sitting on bush furniture on her front verandah. I asked her to take a breath, close her eyes & sink into the chair & raise her finger when she was ready. Essentially, I just told her that when the time came that she was to "go there" & keep out of the process, that it was a completely natuural thing to do, that women had been giving birth for hundreds of thousands of years & many other creatures deliver their young in a similar fashion.
Some time later I thought one day, " Andrea must be having her baby soon." We hadn't been in contact since the session. I rang her house & her mother, who I'd met once only answered. She said, "is that you Lindsay?" & I said "yes" & she said, " A just rang & she said that she's not sure if she's more proud of the two & a half hours or the baby." My wife & went to visit her & her husband said, " it was freaky, her eyelids just fluttered all the time."

DEEJ- It looks like your post was bumped up to this year. A couple of comments.
Micky Mongrien's HypnoBirthing(tm) Seminar for a couple of hundred bucks is a terrific value.
My wife had nurse with 12 years experience (7 in the deliverery room, where she "caught" over 50 babies) as a HypnoBirthing client.
My wife had learned so much, she actually taught the client some "plumbing" related information.
HypnoBirthing is a philosophy as well as a ciriculum teaching a technique. The cost is very reasonable. You can charge a reasonable fee & still make money on the 1st client.
HypnoBirthing isn't about scripts....it's a whole package.

One of the things HypnoBirthing clients are taught is the power they have to tell the docter how the birth process is going to be conducted. The birthing companion can challenge the doctor's decision simply by asking "and what is the medical necessity of this intervention....what is the consequences of not doing the intervention...ect."
HypnoBirthing client's are also given the knowledge to stay out of the hospital until necessary. The longer the Mom stays out of the hospital, the less the chance for medical intervention. The less chance of intervention, the better the chance for a succuess non-intrusive birth.
Clients are taught physical exercises that make for a much physically easier birth.
Clients are also taught some techniques to use to turn a breech baby.
HypnoBirthing clients very empowered to control every aspect of their birthing experience.
BTW- I have a friend who is a terrific mechanic, but he hasn't taken any training on transmission repair. I'm sure he could figure out how to rebuild my transmission, but I'd feel more comfortable if he would take some specific training on transmission repair.

I have just qualified as a hypnotherapist in London and had my first client for childbirth. During the first session, I glaned as much inf as I could to write a personal script for the next session and I during the first session I gave her general confidence building suggestions. At the second session I taped the hypnotic session and asked her to listen to it everyday for about a month prior giving birth or more if she wanted to, the third session I anchored her favorite place of relaxation , she will contact me in few weeks to let me know what it went.............
Dr Bo I read one of your mail where you said you would put together a package with lot of informations, did you mean you were going to email it or is it by post because I have seen nothing online. I am very interested with your experience in the subject.thanks a lot to let me know
