I've been dabbling in the art of Hypnosis for about 2 months now. I have a weekly session with a very good ladyfriend of mine, and from time to time I help a friend out.
In my last session I used the Elman Induction on her, followed with a Deepening Technique. She said she couldn't remember anything after she had to count backwards from 100. The mental relaxation excercise. After that I used a Regression Technique. When the session was done she told me she started to be 'conscious' when I did the Regression.
My question being, how do I do Regression session with her, but keeping her in that state of somnambulism? I couldn't get her to find deep hidden memories. What did I do wrong/good? All tips are more than welcome. |

Well maybe one suggestion could be while you are in the state of deep trance, you can still actively follow and my suggestions and allow your self to be in just the right state that lets you ____________

I use a lot of Elman type inductions and regression work in my sessions.
It sounds like she may be relaxing too much. Her definition of 'conscious' may be the somnambulism you're looking for. It sounds like you're aware that a test for somnambulism is suggested amnesia. Testing is a good practice to be in, but since you and her have practiced,you might try skipping that part and start a regression dialog. That will usually keep someone from going too deep..
Be sure she understands that she can keep that somnambulistic/relaxed state of mind even when she's talking..
