I'm just curious as to how you guys here started your practice. Are you working in an office or at home. Which do you prefer home or office and why? Thanks |

Well, I for the beginning, am planning to start helping my friends, and their friends, and then counting on the word of mouth...if I'm good, the others will hear about it and look for me. I'm not sure about the choice between office and home.....probably a separate room in the house for the beginning and later get an office.

I recommend starting with a professional office. There are several reasons for that. The main one is that we are working with the client subconscious mind all the time. So, if they have to come into your home, past you laundry room and the cat box two get your hypnosis room. It doesn't look very professional. Also, there has been a couple of occasions in my 13 years of doing hypnosis where I had a client that I would not want to give my address to. I have had one client who was homicidal and a few who have mental disorders there are just certain people that you may not want to be handing out your personal address to. A professional office gives your client the impression that you are not a fly-by-night. If affordability is an issue, you can look at office sharing with people in a holistic health field that could complement your practice, such as a massage therapist or homeopath

A great place to start is by growing your online presence so that people can find you.
Everyone turns to the internet for the solution to their problems, and this is a great way to start growing your practice.
So the first step would be to set up a website and start blogging content with high value, that way you will come across as a thought leader and someone with authority.
Then you can begin to grow your subscriber list and grow a relationship with them by continuing to provide value through blogging and emails. This will grow their trust in you and they will begin coming to you for answers to their problems.
There are many hypnotherapy practitioners around the world, and many millions of people who are seeking this service. Your job is to be the one that pops up on their screen :) You can have the best product/service in the world, but if no one knows about it then it wont be of any use.
I hope this helps and good luck :) |
