Hello,
I have been able to use self-hypnosis before with some success. It was while I was on holiday a few years ago - it was a relaxing time, without any worries from work, or everyday problems, etc.
When I got home again, I found I wasn't really able to relax properly, and I seem to have lost my 'power' to self-hypnotise.
I resorted to buying a self-help book from PaulMckenna to listen to a pro, and although I kindof entered a trance-like state the first time around, the next few times i listened to the CD, i became aware halfway through that I was uncomfortable and bored.
Each time I try to perform a self-hypnosis, I try everything I can think of - I turn off the lights and close the doors, make sure everything is quiet and still, take deep breaths before hand to relax myself, close my eyes.. but still no success. Often I find my eyes just seem to want to open again. I have even experimenting with laying something light over them (such as a handkercheif) to keep then shut.
So my question is : What am I doing wrong, and how can I fix it? Thanks SO much to anyone who can help |
