| Crystal, I wonder at your lack of observation. The owners of this board have provided various threads were advertising is acceptable, yet I note that you feel it is fine to spread beyond these and advertise on any thread that takes your fancy....I am curious to know if this is due to a lack of finesse, ignorance of what is proper, or perhaps a disregard for those who visit to ask questions and not to be inudated with advertising.....I also note that you lack the wisdom to limit your offerings to those things outside of medicine were ethical practitioners operate....I am surprised you haven't as yet been charged with practising medicine without a license..... |

| I am ready to decide to withdraw from this newsgroup if Crystal can use it daily as an advertising billboard. Yesterday, I received twelve emails with ficticious headings for Crystal's services. Surely, she must realize that this approach is inappropiate and counterproductive. It happened to alt.hypnosis and this could the beginning of the end for this newsgroup if this practice is left unchecked. Gil Boyne |

| Gil, like you, I got ads re the training programs offered, and when I objected, was told I had asked for them. I have recently received an apology from the owners of the board explaining that a mistake had been made, and I should not have received the postings. I also got an email from Crystal asking that I should be professional in my aproach to complaints (G) Nuf said......... |

Actually, there was no mistake made - you get the notices because you are subscribed to each board. Once you subscribe to be notified when a post is made - then you will get a notice via your email account for each and every post.
You can subscribe and unsubscribe from any one area, section or group OR subscribe to the entire board. In this way, you control how many emails you get and from which section. If you would rather not get emails from the advertising sections simply un-subscribe from those areas.
Note: You may have to un-subscribe from the entire board in order to pick and choose specific areas you want to be notified on. This would mean subscribing to each individual section one by one. You can subscribe by "entire board," individual forum, topic within each individual forum, just a single individual thread within a topic or subscribe to nothing.
