Forgive me if this post is in the wrong area, but I thought it most apt as I do not know of any research in this area or of anyone conducting such hypnosis.
Is it possible to hypnotise the deaf?
It just struck me that, while the majority of the process is generally verbal communication, there is usually a visual element to the induction and continued imagery.
Bearing in mind that it is not necessary for the eyes to be closed to enter a hypnotic state, then is it not possible to replace the auditory elements with visual elements to not only induce the hypnotic state but also make the suggestions?
Or has this already been done?
