Hi,
Anyone use silence in hypnosis?
As in reflective time for the client.
Any thoughts?

There is always this option- I am going to be quiet for (X) amount of time- "pause power" or I am going to be quiet for a little while and in that time you can find the inner resources- etc- as this is sometimes known by is a very powerful way to do a few things, one its a way to allow integration- and it's a very good way to create a deep hypnosis-
Dr Ernest Rossi covers the power of the pause in a number of his books-

It works, just mange the silent time well. They can potentially start to emerge if they wonder what you're up to while it's quiet and their eyes are closed. A few seconds of silent time can seem like hours to the client. |
