Posted - 07/25/2005 : 1:16:30 PM Well, I've been trying self hypnosis for 3 days now and I have a couple of questions. I've done what most people do, relax all your muscles, count down while going down a staircase getting more relaxed and more relaxed. But my question is, how vividly will it appear? I've tried looking around as if my eyes were open even though they were closed and just saw a bunch of grey,black,yellow,green and red colors everywhere. Then i've tried looking around as if I were picturing a scene from a movie or just picturing something on my own free will and saw it but it wasn't that clear and I had to imagine everything that happened, manually. I've read things that say, after doing all the first steps, look around at the things around you and tell me what you see. How are you supposed to look around, and how vivid is it. Now I know that it depends on the person, I'm just looking for other peoples experiences and advice.Thanks. |

Posted - 08/11/2005 : 11:24:45 AM Telling yourself you won't get nervous is certainly not going to work as you rightly say, but if you expect to have a shot at playing before a crowd, and perhaps performing professionally, it would be in your interest to consult a local practitioner to speed things up, and give you an understanding of what to expect. All senses can be involved and should be. It should eventually seem as if you are truly there, but you are expecting too much too soon, and not prepared to do it the right way. We can't help if you don't do your part..... |

Posted - 08/11/2005 : 02:11:42 AM Sure, i'm a guitarist. I've never really played infront of "Crowds" before. I want to put myself in a state were I can hear the crowd and see them and feel me playing and stuff. You see, I have really bad stage frieght, I want to be able to semi experience a real show in my head, as opposed to Only telling myself, you won't get nervous and what not. |

Posted - 07/26/2005 : 5:02:17 PM it look just how it looks to you, that goes with feels and what ever else that comes up also, the idea is to get lost in your thoughts, and ignore the outside world as best you can, as your have only being playing around for 3 days, and it can take up to 20 days or so learning a new habit, then just go if what comes, set your goals, at the start, and go with what you know. |
