just a question,what happens if a person does self hypnosis,is there a chance that their problem won't be correctly dealt with because of a memory block meaning they won't be truthfull about their problem where they may be with a total stranger?

Anthony a truer word was never said, it indicates you can do self hypnosis but it is still the least productive route in person evaluation is still the best route to take due to having the expert hypnotherapist to guide you .

Your question is no different from asking, "If I try to build a wooden box, is it likely to turn out OK or could I have problems?"
Obviously we would need to know what experience and skill you had before we could answer your question. Have you worked with wood, and are you experienced in using woodworking tools?
If you wish to work on yourself after reading a book on self hypnosis, good luck, but don't be surprised if you fail.....Knowledge and skill are important ingredients in therapy just as they are in other areas of life. |

It's very unlikely to be a problem. If you recognize the problem enough to take it to self-hypnosis, you are not in denial (at least with yourself!). |
