Hi i'm 15 and i lack major motivation when it comes to school and have been looking for a solution for 2.5 years...
I recently came pass Self-Hypnosis as a solution but having absolutely no income or credit card meant i couldn't just conveniently buy a book on the subject.
So i continued to search the internet for free resources on this topic and was unable to find anything that may have helped me get started...
I was bombarded with peoples life stories, results and how it worked instead of some useful instructions on how to do it.
Any recommendations, urls, suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Any info on reaching the trance state would also be great... (I find it hard to sleep/relax.) |

Dear Sci Boy, you say you lack major motivation for school, but you obviously feel motivated -to be motivated- what's the difference ?
Really. think about it. ask yourself why you want to motivated, i think you might actually find your motivation here! if you think you're not motivated this means you must have a model somewhere in your head of what it is to be motivated, find it and try it on for size (like a suit of clothes)
when you have your model, you could even decide to split the qualities of that model into behavioural and mental components in two lists. throw the mental list in the bin and ask yourself how many of the physical behaviours on your other list you are capable of (all i'm guessing). now play the part of pretending to be like your list - viola, now you're motivated.
re:self hyp, it can be easy to miss the state, or to do anything with it. as Gil points out somwhere on this site, the ability of the mind to construct suggestions can run counter to being in the right state to respond to those suggestions, two possible answers:
1 buy a dictaphone
2 learn to dissociate your mind into two parts, actor and audience .

I wonder why it would come in an EXE file? Be weary when downloading .exe files as they can include any number of items. It is very easy for someone to add additional programs onto an existing real EXE file - so when you run it you get the original program but - you may also get something else you didn't want. As a rule we only use ZIP files so people can see what they are getting. But even in a ZIP file there is no protection if someone has an EXE file that you have to run within it. As a rule, make sure you are dealing with a reputable source when downloading any EXE installation file. |

there is a complete self-hypnosis course of Howard Morgan.. It was an exe file that contains several complied web pages. you can find it, else I can send it if you want. It looks pretty useful, with exercises and sessions. |

At the age of 15 - I suggest you discuss these issues with your parents and look for a logical plan of self-improvement with them. Whether Hypnosis or any other measure is recommended you will need to have them as part of the process. Feel free to visit our forum with them but you should not come in asking for advice without them.
