So um, I know that when you do self hypnosis, you have to shut your eyes and breath slowly... And then start focusing on relaxing your feet, then calf, then go up... The problem I seem to be struggling with is to try to relax my feet.
How do I know if they're relaxed? And how do I focus on relaxing every muscles in my body? Do I have to picture standing on the shore and then see/feel water come over my feet?
Any suggestions on helping me how to relax every muscle in my body? I would also like it if you tell me how you do it too. Might be helpful.

You can search for free induction scripts, or buy them. Memorize them and use them. |

You are describing a "progressive relaxation" hypnosis induction.
That is one way out of many ways to induce self-hypnosis. Many hypnotists, including myself, feel it is an outdated technique because it gives unreliable results.
What are you expecting hypnosis to feel like? How will you know when you're there?
If you are having trouble w/ self-hypnosis, I recommend confirming the accuracy of what you expect it to feel like. Then either get a self-hypnosis audio like offered on this site and others to learn from.
Perhaps search for a free Elman induction online and try it out.
