Posted - 01/04/2012 : 10:05:53 AM Hello people, am a big fan of hypnosis and NLP, I'm reading lately Trance-formations... by Bandler and Grinder. In recent years I have a large vested interest in self-hypnosis, more precisely way to get me to sleep. My room is located in front of a busy and noisy street. My sleep is light and all six in morning I wake up with the damn noise. This is becoming detrimental to my studies and health. Believe that light sleep and deep sleep are not biological factors. I wonder if you have some knowledge of self-hypnosis techniques to direct me to solve the problem. Or suggest me some website or book. I thank for your attention. |

Posted - 01/04/2012 : 8:03:44 PM Hello HypnoDoc, for earplugs had already tried to use but do not adapted. The street is a hill, with at a crossroads with traffic lights. The building is old, then not only the noise bothers you, as any vibration caused by the brakes of buses and trucks that stop at traffic lights. I rent this apartment, and the politics of real estate, can not make physical changes in the property. I would try a technique of self-hypnosis to start practicing at first to solve this problem, after that, for other future plans that want to use. Projects aimed at to model myself, so the nick name "the sculptor."

It may be easier to deal with the external factors using physical techniques instead of Hypnosis. Try ear plugs, soundproofing the room, etc. If you can darken the room enough you may be able to use a lamp/light alarm system that keeps getting brighter until it is shut off. That would allow you to use earplugs and not use a sound alarm clock.
Getting a good night's sleep is important but I don't think, in this case, Hypnosis is the way to go. Try a few other things first. When I lived in New York City the sound was 24 hours a day not just in the mornings. I hung think comforters on the windows instead of regular drapes - these blocked out light and 98% of the city sounds. Perhaps that might work for you as well
