Posted - 04/24/2009 : 11:47:17 PM I have been trained and conditioned for a self-hypnosis technique, the light switch, and I have been trying to get to the deeper states. Every deepening audio I find or make does not help me reach a deeper somnambulism level even though I am supposed to go deeper every time I use self-hypnosis. I have also been trying to reach the coma state but it doesn't seem to work. My conscious mind is almost always very active in trance and I cant reach the deep levels. I know I am in trance because I can not move any part of my body but I try and try for the coma state. I was only able to reach it twice, accidentally. This was a fluke and I want to be able to set a trigger for the coma state. Any suggestions to help with self-hypnosis. |

Posted - 05/02/2009 : 12:08:32 PM Nice work! Distractions can be a good induction tool. White noise machine or the sound of a fan would probably do the job too. Some people like it, some people don't. I have a small fountain in my office that seems to help some people... while I have to unplug it for others. |

Posted - 05/02/2009 : 11:54:18 AM I actually found something that helps.
If I play music, keep the tv on, etc. while playing self-hypnosis deepening patters, the music helps occupy my conscious mind while my subconscious mind listens to hypnosis. I go so deep that I have amnesia when emerging or I enter into natural sleep and then emerge with amnesia. |

Posted - 04/26/2009 : 09:55:23 AM Reaching Esdaile (coma) on your own can take a LOT of work. And, even then, if you are not clear on what it will feel like, it's going to be difficult. A 'qualified' hypnotist can help you get there and show you how to do it again, on your own. I do this for pain control clients. Some learn more quickly than others. Some have behavioral issues to address before it is possible. A 'qualified' hypnotist can help you through the whole thing. |

Posted - 04/26/2009 : 02:57:53 AM Its called the "coma state" not the "death state" your going to have some level of locus of control- otherwise you would not be able to do any programing at that level- detachment is a neurological impossibility- because all your feelings tactile & emotional, memories, etc all happen inside of you-- you only have a representation a metaphor of detachment- and you can build on that, as its very helpful, when working with trance/hypnosis- and your going to have some sense of feeling, because you are a living breathing- conscious sentient being. practice is the key, to building deeper levels of trance- the brain responds very much like a muscle- the more you work it, the stronger it becomes, same with hypnosis.

Posted - 04/26/2009 : 02:33:32 AM I did see a qualified hypnotist...but I would like to reach the coma level.
I know I haven't reached it because I have some feeling of my body and I am not totally detached, pain, stress, tension free. I also always come out of hypnosis with a regular old emerging count to 3. |

Posted - 04/25/2009 : 01:02:58 AM How do you know that your not in the deeper levels?
The one things you can be sure about is the more you practice the deeper state you will go into, has the brain works through the process of patterning, the more you do the same thing, the stronger the associated states become, also know as (state dependent memory) Has you have already been trained and conditioned for a self-hypnosis technique- then here's a little extra step- to add before you use your already learned process.
Take 3 slow deep breaths, only ((breath out first)), so you empty your lungs before you breath in., then allow the breath to come in at its on rate, then tense and release all your muscles starting from the top of your head to the tip of your toes- and repeat that 3 times, now that would have created a pretty good state of relaxation- then apply your already learned self-hypnosis technique- and you will have a deeper experience because of the added relaxation response.
