Hello,
My name is Brian and I am using self-hypnosis (with the help of a hypnotherapist) to help me create positive changes in my outlook and lifestyle. There are a number of personality areas that I need to work on, but the specific area that needs the most work is anxiety. I tend to have irrational worries that serve no purpose but to limit me. Though I can recognize their irrationality, my emotions still tend to coil up in anxiety when they come up.
I have read that it is best to be as specific as possible in self-hypnosis. Is "anxiety" or "anxious feelings" an appropriate focus, or is it too general? Should I instead be more specific and focus on overcoming individual worries that tend to recur? I have many such worries, which is why I am hesitant to take this more specific approach.
