Anyone have any experience with the Leidecker Institute in Chicago? or the Mitchell Institute?
Also...i've come across many different certifying agencies. is there a benefit to taking a class certified by the Guild vs ACHE?

The NGH has the greatest number of members but for many years
anyone (no previous background) could be certified by attending a weekend
training.
There were several NGH "trainers" traveling to various cities
to present these weekend seminars. They worked on a commission basis
and for a number of years they did very well as the concept of
Certification was new and beguiling to the unknowing newcomers.
Many of the NGH members eventually sought further training and
certification from other schools and organizations because they
quickly realized that they were poorly equipped to earn a living
based on their brief and superficial NGH training.
Differences between National Guild of Hypnotists and
the American Council of Hypnotist Examiners.
For a student to become certified by the ACHE they must have met the
following requirements---
1. Completion of three hundred classroom hours in a school
approved by the State Bureau of Private and Vocational Schools as
well as a Certificate of School Approval from the ACHE.
2. Each instructor must hold an Approved Instructor Certificate from
the same State organization and from the
ACHE. (Minimum requirement---three years of private practice after
completing required training.
3. Several NGH members that have trained with Gil Boyne and other ACHE schools
in the past have been invited to offer workshops at the Annual ACHE Conference. They have all regretfully declined, revealing that Dwight Damon would
retaliate by expelling them from NGH and eliminate their income from teaching for NGH.
4. A number of NGH schools have contacted ACHE about leaving the NGH
and becoming ACHE schools. This is the real issue and their real
fear!
