Ok, so I've been hypnotising for around two years now. I started off learning from an e-mail thing which to be honest wasn't particularly good. I used classmates from school as my first subjects and pretty quickkly started to get the hang of things (it helped that there were some particularly suggestable people I could practice with frequently). I was doing things such as freezing limbs so the subject couldn't move them until my command and other simple things like making them say "I think I'm a fairy" in a high-pitched girly voice whenever they heard the trigger word "mushroom."
After a while this began to get a little stale so I decided to try and push the boat out a bit. There was an extremely suggestable guy in my class who experienced strong REM whilst under hypnosis and was able to recall distant insignificant memories such as what someone was wearing on a night out two years previously. I decided to experiment with fear (BIG MISTAKE). Long story short he had an abreaction which I found very difficult to take him out of. After this incident I didn't hypnotise again for almost a year and I still only hypnotise on the very odd occaision (once again limiting myself to things like the limb-locks) I would like a professional opinion on how I could progress my skills from here (I don't intend to go professional or anything, just keep this as a fun hobby). |
